Solcon introduces “Inside Delta” Soft Starters
RVS-DN, RVS-DX and RVS-AX “Inside Delta” operation..
Advantages of “Inside Delta”:
· Mains current is reduced by 1.73 (√3).
The advantage: for a 800A motor you would normally select a 820A starter, to operate in ”Line” mode. When operating “Inside Delta” , an 800 / 1.73 yields the selection of 460A starter instead.
· Highly competitive when replacing a YD contactor combination.
Sample wiring when using the RVS-DN, DX & AX Inside Delta.
